At Childhealthy, we understand that preparing for a new baby brings a mix of excitement, but also lots of questions. Many parents tell us that, alongside planning for birth, they want to feel confident about what happens afterwards, especially when it comes to their baby’s health and development. To support you during this important time, we offer a complimentary on-line antenatal meet-and-greet with one of our consultant paediatricians.
What is the antenatal meet-and-greet?
This is a free, informal introductory appointment (usually held online) designed especially for expectant parents. It is not an antenatal class or group session. Instead, it is a one-to-one courtesy call that gives you the opportunity to:
- Meet a consultant paediatrician from our team
- Find out how the Childhealthy practice works – from registering your newborn to scheduling check-ups, developmental reviews and vaccinations
- Learn what to expect from your baby’s first few appointments and how we coordinate care with your midwife, GP or hospital team
- Ask any questions you may have about our service before your baby arrives
Why we offer this service
This short meeting is our way of introducing ourselves and explaining how we can support your family from day one. It also gives you a chance to decide whether you would like to register your newborn with Childhealthy after birth.
What happens after your baby is born
If you choose to register your baby with us, we will seamlessly arrange your first appointment and ongoing care. Our consultant paediatricians provide personalised advice, routine checks and timely vaccinations, as well as specialist input if any concerns arise. By starting your relationship with us antenatally, you will already know who you are seeing and how our service works, making those first weeks with your new baby that bit easier.
How to arrange your meet-and-greet
Contact our team to request a complimentary antenatal meet-and-greet. We will schedule a convenient time for an online call with one of our consultant paediatricians. There is no obligation to register with Childhealthy after the meeting; it is simply an opportunity to find out more and decide what feels right for you.
