Amelia Powell
Amelia is a highly specialised private paediatric physiotherapist with nearly twenty years’ experience working in the NHS and private sector. Her NHS practice is based at the Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust.
As well as treating often complex conditions, Amelia is passionate about health promotion and injury prevention. A parent herself, Amelia is extremely keen to support parents to promote the health and wellbeing of their children from birth onwards.
Being a lover of ballet, Millie has worked with young ballerinas at the English National Ballet School. As a result, she loves supporting patients from acute injury and pain through their rehab journey to reach their full potential and goals.
Whilst working full time at the Chelsea and Westminster, she took a sabbatical to volunteer in a home for orphaned babies in Malawi. She spent three months working with children with neurological and developmental conditions. She also worked at BEIT CURE International Hospital, Blantyre, Malawi supporting children in their rehab following complex orthopaedic surgery for congenital orthopaedic deformities.
Amelia has a wealth of experience in treating babies with foetal moulding conditions such as plagiocephaly, torticollis/ preferential head turns. She has also worked extensively with babies born prematurely and as a result very focussed on promoting normal physical development from an early age in babies. She also treats children with musculoskeletal/ orthopaedic conditions such as following an acute injury, back or knee pain.
Amelia Powell sees patients at our clinic locations under practising privileges.
