How to arrange a child’s blood test with Childhealthy
We offer two ways to book your child’s blood test in London:
1. Without a doctor's appointment
If your child’s GP or another doctor has recommended a blood test, you can request this directly through Childhealthy without needing another consultation.
- Simply let us know which blood test is required.
- We will confirm the test details, fees, and create your secure Childhealthy account.
- One of our consultant paediatricians will review the request and the results but this does not include a medical assessment, and you will need to share the results with your child’s doctor.
Blood tests are carried out by The Doctors Laboratory.
2. With a doctor's appointment
- Book an appointment with one of our paediatricians, either in clinic or by remote consultation.
- Your doctor will advise on which tests are most appropriate for your child.
- Once the tests are completed, we will arrange a follow-up appointment to explain the results clearly and discuss the next steps.

How quickly are results available?
Most test results are available within a few days. We will forward results to you as soon as they are ready, and if you have booked with a Childhealthy doctor, we will explain the findings and next steps in detail.
Fees for private children’s blood tests in London
- Diagnostic test profiles typically range from £200 – £600.
- A medical administration fee of £79 is applied in addition to the cost of the tests.
- Fees for other blood tests are available on enquiry.
