A general paediatrician is a specialist doctor caring for children of all ages. Our general paediatricians take a holistic approach to looking after your child from birth. A general paediatrician’s role includes: 

  • Health promotion from birth onwards.
  • Providing regular health checks from birth through to adolescence
  • Advising on and administering vaccinations for all age groups.
  • Diagnosing, investigating and treating acute and chronic illnesses in children.
  • Coordinating care with a network of other paediatric specialists and therapists.

Dr Yiannis Ioannou

Childhealthy Lead Paediatrician and Founder

Dr Yiannis is Consultant Paediatrician at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and at the Portland Hospital and Bupa Cromwell Hospitals.

Yiannis graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Medical School. He has diverse paediatric experience gained in prestigious hospitals across London and Sydney that spans all paediatric specialities. Yiannis has two children who have provided him with the most valuable of all lessons and experiences as a paediatrician.

Dr Yiannis provides a combination of clinical expertise and a calm, reassuring approach to your child’s health and well being. We offer continuity of care from birth to teenage years as well as health checks and assessments for one-off illnesses and concerns.

Dr Kerry Robinson

Childhealthy Paediatrician: Associate

Kerry is a Consultant Paediatrician. She has worked as a doctor in the NHS for over twenty years and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her work with Childhealthy.

Kerry graduated from Cambridge University and continued her medical training at The Royal Free and University College London Medical School.

She has worked in a variety of settings, including several years at Great Ormond Street Hospital and as an Expedition doctor. She has joint qualification in both general paediatrics and paediatric neurodisability.

Kerry is a regular teacher on national courses in general paediatrics and epilepsy. In addition, she has written many research papers and book chapters. She loves treating children and families with a range of conditions, and has a special interest in epilepsy and neurology.

Since 2013 she has worked as a paediatric Consultant at The Whittington Hospital, where she has served as the departmental Clinical Lead. She also works at The Portland Hospital.

Kerry has three children and understands the anxieties (as well as the joys) of parenthood. This ensures she brings a holistic approach to her care.
