Paediatric Craniofacial and Plastic Surgeons
What is a paediatric craniofacial and plastic specialist?
A craniofacial surgeon cares for children with any congenital deformities or disfigurements of the head and neck.
Common conditions include: plagiocephaly, craniosynostosis, developmental or congenital conditions such as cleft lip or cleft palate and syndromes that affect the facial regions around the eyes, ears, or jaw. Plastic surgical specialists manage cuts and lacerations that may require intervention.
Our general paediatric team can initially assess, reassure you and treat your child for many of these concerns, but commonly refer for an opinion or if surgery is needed.
