Dr Kayal Vijayakumar

Dr Kayal Vijayakumar is a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.

Dr Kayal graduated from MGR Medical University in India and underwent specialty training in Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurology in hospitals across the UK including Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. Kayal was a consultant at Bristol Children’s Hospital for over 10 years before moving to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Dr Kayal consults on wide range of common neurological conditions, including fits/funny turns, seizures, movement disorders, and headache. Dr Kayal has a special interest in neuro-muscular disorders and a wide range of neurological diseases including epilepsy, paroxysmal movement disorders, complex headaches and migraines, neuro-inflammatory, neurovascular and neuro-genetic/metabolic diseases.
